Until last night - I had never been in the stands to witness a Tigers clinching win (although I have witnessed other teams clinching on our turf) - that was the most wonderful experience yet - only one other could be better ...
Pat, I think their preparation for the WS is extremely important. If they face the Cards their starter consist of a lot sinkers, cut fastballs and sliders around 90 m.p.h, they could also see a soft thrower from the left side and then the Cards bring in the heat. Hopefully the Tigers will bring as many cut fastball, slider pitchers they have that throw around 90 m.p.h. Wait a minute that spells Fister. Hopefuly Wilk is near by for the soft throwing lefty and bring the heat which Tigers have a lot of (Max, BV, Rondon, Justin). I think left handed batters have an advantage over the Cards pitchers. I think Fielder will bring out.
