Recruiting is just recruiting. State has gotten the best of Michigan the past few years, but the party may be over with Hoke's approach to "locking up the state of michigan", similar to that vest dude does in the state of ohio.
3, 4, 5 stars. Whatever, it doesn't truly matter until the teams line up. But if Michigan is the "better national brand" than State and if Michigan can lock up the best players in the State (and then recruit in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas), then it could be the case where the recruiting tides will flow towards Michigan again. The key for any Big Ten team will be trying to gain ground in Ohio for those recruits. So many good players come out of there and that dude in the vest locks them up.
It will be interesting to see Hoke's 2012, 2013 class and the impact he will make on Michigan recruiting and which way it is headed.
Already, the sparty pundits are nervously laughing to themselves as they too may be witnessing the tide turn and the fat lady singing...
