Pat,The Tigers losing skid began BEFORE Inge, Guillen and Ordonez got hurt. The injuries are a convenient excuse but I don't buy it. This is a familiar predictable pattern for the last 5 seasons. I don't hate Leyland but he has to own some of the responsibility for this. He just seems so nonchalant at times, I can't put my finger on it but there just seems to be a lak of urgency in his demeanor and I think that translates to his ballclub on the field. He never says it is ok to lose but very rarely does he project that they must win. It's just a weird feeling with him.
Allan, They lost Inge pretty early after the break. I doubt they would have been swept in Tampa if it weren't for the injuries, but the way the White Sox and Twins are playing, the Yigers would have still fallen behind, in my opinion. Caputo
