I have been in the hospital the last week, have had surgery and returned home today. I will be returning to work within the next couple weeks. A quick and full recovery is anticipated. That's why I haven't posted any entries. I did want to take this chance to thank those who support this blog. I learn quite a bit about sports - and life - from you. I enjoy the interaction. Have a great day.

Great to hear that you are on the mend, Book! My son and I have missed your commentary-- we are used to debating your many opinions.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Pat. You are greatly missed!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Caputo!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well Pat, your blog is good one. Most of the time you call a spade a spade which is nice to read.
ReplyDeleteGet better, Pat!

Best of luck recovering. I look forward to your entries every day. We all rely on your reporting and opinion, not just on local matters, but the national landscape as well.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from a faithful reader and listener in far away Serbia.
ReplyDeleteGET WELL!
Book,
ReplyDeleteI figure this isn't such a bad time of the year to be laid up, Pat. But pitchers and catchers should start streaming into Lakeland over the next week or so - so get better so we can debate second base and catchers and who's going to bat second!
We've been missing you on the radio at our house. You're one of the family.
Feel better Pat.. missed you on the radio and the blog..
ReplyDeleteA few weeks in Lakeland might do you well..
I was starting to wonder.... Get well soon, Pat.

ReplyDeletePAT.....You are seriously missed. I wasn't sure why you were off so long and started to snoop around tonight for some answers. I am so sorry your having a health issue. I wish you a speedy recovery and will say prayer for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the surgery went well. Get well soon!
ReplyDeletePat, Hope you feel better. I definitely look forward to your blog, column, and commentary on 97.1. When I was in Arizona for three years I missed your commentary on the radio the most. I think I speak for many when I say get some rest and we look forward to hearing you soon. -chris the teacher

ReplyDeletePat,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that all is well! I have been worried about you, as we had heard nothing, but your disappearance was noticed!
Although I am a well-adjusted middle-aged male (some might debate the "well-adjusted" part), I NEVER miss your radio show in the evenings or on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Also, I read your blog every single day. You are the best!
Get well and return soon - the sports community (and this well-adjusted male!) needs you!
Paul
Been wondering what happened. No column for over 2 weeks. Get better soon Pat, look forward to reading many more columns from you.
ReplyDeletePat,
ReplyDeleteYou have really screwed up my nightly routine. Please get back on the air so my life returns to normal.
